Two transgender women assaulted near Sathagalli

Mysore/Mysuru: A group of youths allegedly assaulted two transgender women and stabbed one of them after she refused to give them money at Amrutha Layout near Sathagalli on Sunday night.

The injured has been identified as Anam, a resident of Amrutha Layout. She sustained injuries to her face and is undergoing treatment at a hospital. The other victim, Pari, is a resident of Ghousianagar.

According to the complaint, the youths confronted Anam on Sunday night and demanded money from her. When she refused, they allegedly picked up a quarrel with her.

Anam then called her friend Pari and informed her about the incident. When Pari arrived at the spot, the youths reportedly assaulted both of them and stabbed Anam on the face before fleeing.

Mysuru South (Rural) Police have registered a case and launched a search for the accused.
