Two bikes, scooter worth about Rs. 55,000 recovered

Mysuru: Devaraja Police, on Nov. 3 during an operation on Geetha Road near Gujari (Scrap Yard), have arrested a person, on charges of stealing two-wheelers and have recovered two bikes and a scooter from him.

The arrested person has been identified as Irfan Sharif, a resident of Bheemanagar in Kollegal.

The Police nabbed him when the accused was trying to sell a Hero Honda Splendor bike  without a number plate near the Gujari.

During interrogation, the accused is said to have confessed of lifting two-wheelers on Devaraja Urs Road and K.R. Hospital premises coming under Devaraja Police limits and based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered two Hero Honda Splendor bikes and a Honda Activa scooter from him.

DCP Dr. Vikram V. Amathe and Devaraja ACP B.S. Rajashekar supervised Devaraja Inspector Thimmaraju, ASI Umesh Murthy and staff Manjunath, Umesh, Nandeesh and Manikanta in the nabbing and recovery operation.
