Mysuru: Devaraja Police, have arrested a two-wheeler lifter and have recovered 31 two-wheelers worth about Rs. 15 lakh from him.
The accused has been identified as 41-year-old Srinivas alias Seena, a resident of Niluvadi Village, Haranahalli Hobli in Periyapatna taluk.
He was apprehended, when the Police team was investigating into a two-wheeler lifting case, which took place on May 25 in K.R. Hospital parking lot. The accused was trying to sell a stolen vehicle for a measly amount, near Maramma Temple on Kalidasa Road in city on Aug. 14, when the Police nabbed him.
According to a press release, accused Srinivas who was a habitual offender had sold the vehicles in Chikkanerale, Doddanerale, Santhemala and Kellur villages in Periyapatna taluk. He used to tell the buyers that the vehicle was seized for non-payment of loan and he would hand over the documents in a few days.
Srinivas took to theft to make easy money. An extortion case has also been registered against him in Periyapatna Police Station.
Following his arrest, the Police have solved nine cases registered in Devaraja Police Station, six cases in Nazarbad Police Station, two cases each in Metagalli, Vijayanagar and K.R. Nagar Police Stations, seven cases in Hunsur Town Police Station and one case each in Jayalakshmipuram, Ashokapuram, Krishnaraja (KR) and H.D. Kote in Mysuru and Konanur (Hassan district) Police Stations.

Mahesh, H.R. Manjunath, C. Sunil Kumar, N.M. Mahesh Kumar, Shivaraj Kumar and Technical Wing staff Kumar and C.M. Manju in the nabbing and recovery operation.
