Two-wheeler lifter arrested

Mysuru: Udayagiri Police have arrested a two-wheeler lifter on Wednesday, while he was attempting to sell a stolen bike at Rajivnagar in city.

The arrested is a 24-year-old Mohammed Samiulla, a resident of Shanthinagar in city.

Acting on a tip off that a person was trying to sell a bike at a throw-away price in Rajivagar, Udayagiri Inspector Santosh and staff raided the place and arrested the accused.

Following the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered a Bajaj Discover bike and a Honda Activa scooter from him, which he had allegedly stolen in V.V. Puram and K.R. Nagar. The accused has a total of five cases against him in Udayagiri, Narasimharaja and Mandi Police Stations.

Udayagiri SI Jaikeerthi and staff Babu, Shankar, Siddiq, Manju, Diwakar and Krishna took part in the nabbing and seizing operation.
