Two women relieved of gold chains

Mysuru: After a brief lull, chain snatchers struck at two places in city this morning.

While the first incident was reported at Jayalakshmipuram Police limits at about 10.05 am, the second incident has been reported from Saraswathipuram Police limits here at about 10.20 am.

In the first incident, Lohitha Nanjamma, a resident of Jayalakshmipuram was relieved of her 37 grams gold chain by two miscreants on a Pulsar bike, who snatched her chain when she was standing near Sri Raghavendra Mutt.

Jayalakshmipuram Inspector Ravindra and ACP Umesh G. Shet, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar and gathered necessary information, besides registering a case.

In the second incident which took place at about 10.20 am near Kuvempu School in Saraswathipuram here, bike borne miscreants managed to snatch away a part of the 42 grams gold chain from one Parimala, Manager of Sudha Co-operative Bank, while she was walking near the school.

Saraswathipuram Inspector K.C. Poovaiah and SI Mohan, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar and enquired about the incident besides registering a case.
