Two youths killed in accident in Maddur

Maddur: Two employees of a coffee chain were killed on the spot when their bike rammed against a parked lorry near Maddur KSRTC Bus Stand on the Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway last night.

The accident victims have been identified as 33-year-old Ajith and 36-year-old Umesh, both employees of Coffee Day in Maddur. Both of them were heading towards their work place for the night shift at around 11.30 pm.

According to the Police, the youths could not see the parked lorry and rammed the bike against the heavy vehicle. It was not clear who was riding the bike. The impact of the accident was such that both Ajith and Umesh were killed on the spot.

Seeing the accident, some passers-by informed the Police. While Umesh was the son of Ramesh, Ajith was the son of Kishore Kumar of Maddur.
