Two youths meet watery grave

T. Narasipur:  Two youths were  drowned at Triveni Sangam here when they had gone to take a sacred bath in the light of Ugadi Festival on Mar.18.

The two unfortunate victims are Pramod (12) and Tejendraprasad (17) of the taluk’s Bannahallihundi village.

Expert swimmers searched the bodies for more than an hour in the river.

Among the two, Pramod had already died and Tejendraprasad, who had consumed a lot of water, was taken to a private hospital in Mysuru for treatment. But the treatment failed and he also succumbed in the hospital.

T. Narasipur Police have registered a case.
