Mysore/Mysuru: Suttur Mutt has organised Allama Prabhu Jayanti and Panchanga Shravana as part of Ugadi festival on Apr.13 at Suttur Srikshetra in Nanjangud taluk. Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion. As part of the festival, early in the morning, Maharudrabhisehka will be performed to Adi Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Karthru Gadduge.
Special pujas will also be held at Sri Someshwara, Sri Mahadeshwara, Sri Veerabhadreshwara, Sri Nanjundeshwara and Sri Narayanaswamy temples. A procession of Honneru Bandi accompanied by Mangala vadya and folk troupes will be taken out to Karthru Gadduge.
Suttur Residential School Music teachers and students will take part in Vachana Gayana at 9.30 am.
Sri Siddeshwara Swamiji of Jnanayogashrama, Vijayapura, will deliver discourse at 10.30 am. Prof. K.B. Prabhuprasad will be the chief guest. Lecturer of Akash Jyotishya Samsthe, Bengaluru, Meghana Varsha will deliver introductory speech about Sri Shivarathreeshwara Panchanga, published by Bharatiya Jyothirvijnana Samshodhana Kendra, Mysuru. Panchanga Pathana will be performed by Suttur Sri Shivarathreeshwara Panchanga editor Siddhanti K.G. Puttahonnaiah.
