Ugadi gift: State Government staff get 2.75 percent hike in DA

Bengaluru: As a Ugadi gift to lakhs of State Government employees, the JD(S)- Congress Coalition Government headed by H.D. Kumaraswamy has hiked the DA (Dearness Allowance) by 2.75 percent.

According to an order issued in this regard on Thursday, the hike will be in retrospective effect from Jan. 1, 2019.

The hike from the existing 3.75 percent to 6.5 percent, will benefit over 8.5 lakh State Government employees.

The State Government’s announcement on DA hike comes weeks after the Union Government hiked the DA of its employees.
