Those who are unhappy with party can leave: HDK

March 3, 2018

Mysuru: Stating that those who are unhappy with the party are free to leave, State JD(S) President and former CM H.D. Kumaraswamy has stoutly refuted the claims of some that there was groupism in the party. Speaking to press persons after visiting the residence of declared JD(S) candidate Abdulla at Bannimantap here this morning, Kumaraswamy asserted that there was no change of the party candidate from N.R. Constituency as Abdulla has a better chance of winning the seat.

Referring to State BJP President B.S. Yeddyurappa’s remark that the credit for the JD(S)-BJP coalition Govt. in 2006 should entirely go to him (BSY), Kumaraswamy sarcastically said that BSY should also take credit for landing in jail, setting commission system in motion and such other corrupt actions. Lashing out at the State BJP leaders for undertaking the ‘Raksha Yatra’ at Bengaluru, the JD(S) leader maintained that the BJP had done little for Bengaluru when it was in power.

Referring to Prajwal Revanna’s efforts to contest from Bengaluru’s Rajarajeshwarinagar seat, he said that there was nothing wrong in Prajwal seeking the ticket. However, it was the party which will take a final stand on Prajwal’s candidature, he added.

Claiming that the JD(S)-BSP combine stands a better chance to form a majority Government, Kumaraswamy alleged that the Congress Government was a failure on all fronts. He also accused the Congress of attacking and threatening JD(S) workers across the State.
