Halagur: A body of an unidentified senior citizen was found on the banks of River Cauvery near Muthatti.

Tourists, who noticed the body on Tuesday last, informed Halagur Police, who reached the spot and suspected that the elderly man may have  committed suicide.

The deceased is 5.5 ft. tall, oily red complexioned with normal built was wearing a white shirt and dhoti. The body has been shifted to Mandya District Hospital mortuary. The kith and kin of the deceased, if any, may contact Halagur Police Station on Ph: 08231-295322 or Mob: 94808-04866.
