University of Mysore ranked among top 350 Universities in Asia

Mysuru: The University of Mysore is ranked among the top 350 Universities in Asia. The list was released by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development  (MHRD) yesterday in New Delhi, said University of Mysore in-Charge Vice-Chancellor Prof. C. Basavaraju.

The confirmation was received through a tweet from HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar and next year, we aim to be among the top 150 Universities in Asia, he added.

The University of Mysore, which is ranked 36th in the survey conducted by the National Institute of Ranking Framework (NIRF) of the MHRD, is also seriously considering gaining the status of an Institute of Eminence. This could result in the University getting Rs.1,000 crore, he said.
