Mysore/Mysuru: Mysore Royal Family member Pramoda Devi Wadiyar will be unveiling the statue of Rajarshi Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar installed on the premises of Mysore Medical College and Research Institute (MMC&RI) on Nov. 26 at 10.15 am.
According to a press release by 1962 batch students and members of The Mysore Medical College Alumni Association (MAA) and Dean of MMC&RI, Dr. V. Lakshminarayan, the diabetes expert, who has taken the lead of the programme will deliver the welcome address and introduce the chief guests, while Dr. C.D. Sreenivasa Murthy, Hon. President of MAA will preside.
Dr. Udaya Shankar will deliver the keynote address while Dr. B.V. Sudhamani will speak about Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar. Sculptor of Nalwadi’s statue Jagannath Achar and Dr. Udaya Shankar will be felicitated by the 1962 batch students of MMC&RI.
MMC&RI Dean Dr. K.R. Dakshayini will speak on behalf of the institute, while former Chairman of Kuvempu Bhasha Bharathi Pradhikara Dr. Pradhan Gurudutta will speak on behalf of the special invitees. Dr. K.J. Srinivas IFS will speak on behalf of MAA.
Founder-Editor of Star of Mysore and Mysuru Mithra Dr. K.B. Ganapathy, who is among the special invitees will also speak on the occasion.
Former Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Kuvempu University Dr. K. Chidananda Gowda, Principal of JSS Medical College Dr. H. Basavana Gowdappa, Senior Physician and Heart Surgeon Dr.B.V.
