Mysore/Mysuru: University of Mysore (UoM) has secured 8th rank among top 75 State Public Universities in the country in the Outlook ICARE Rankings – 2025.
UoM Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof. N.K. Lokanath, in a press release, has stated that this recognition was based on critical parameters including Academic & Research Excellence, Industry Interface & Placement, Infrastructure & Facilities, Governance & Extension and Diversity & Outreach.
This accomplishment holds greater significance as it has been achieved despite the challenges posed by a dwindling number of permanent faculty members, the VC stated and added that it stands as a proof of the resilience and collaborative spirit of the University community.
Prof. Lokanath has congratulated Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), whose efforts played an important role is securing the ranking besides expressing his gratitude to the members of the Syndicate and Academic Council, faculty members, researchers, students, officers, administrative staff, parents and all stakeholders for their collective contribution to the growth and success of UoM.
