VC Search Committee to meet on May 12, regular VC’s name to be announced on May 13

Mysuru: Women’s Hostel Warden of University of Mysore Dr. Rekha Jadhav has been shifted back to her home Department.

Sources in the University said that Acting Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof. Dayanand Mane has shifted her back to the Sociology Department and has put Students Welfare Assistant Dean Dr. Kavya as in-charge of the Women’s Hostel.

Regular VC’s name to be announced on May 13: Meanwhile, sources also said that the Search Committee, which has been constituted to search for a regular VC for the University of Mysore, will be meeting on May 12 to finalise the name of the regular VC to be sent for approval to the Governor and the name of the new VC would be announced on May 13.

It is learnt that 150 persons had applied for the Mysore University VC’s post and the Search Committee had shortlisted three names out of which one person would be appointed as the VC of the University of Mysore.
