UoM Women’s Kho Kho team shines

Mysuru: University of Mysore (UoM) Women’s Kho Kho team qualified for the All India Inter-University Kho Kho championship after finishing third in the South India Inter-University Kho Kho Championship at Davanagere University recently.

The women’s team defeated Calicut University 11-9 in final league match to secure third position and took part in All India Inter-University Kho Kho Championship held from Apr. 14 to 23 at SNDT Women’s University at Mumbai. The team lost in the quarter finals.

The team was led by Nagalambika and coached by B.D. Kantharaju. Maharani Arts College for Women Physical Education Director Dr. K.S. Bhaskar was the team manager.

UoM Vice-Chancellor Prof. N.K. Lokanath, Registrar M.K. Savitha and Department of Physical Education Director (In-charge) Prof. H.C. Revanna Siddappa congratulated the team on its achievement.
