Mysore/Mysuru: The District Uppara Employees and Professionals Association will be presenting ‘Pratibha Puraskara’ to meritorious students of the community at Kalamandira in city at 10.30 am on Mar.27.
Senior Journalist Amshi Prasannakumar will inaugurate. Chitradurga District’s Hosadurga Bhageeratha Mutt Seer Dr. Purushottamanandapuri Swamiji will grace the occasion. MLA C. Puttarangashetty will unveil a portrait of Bhageeratha Maharshi, while Karnataka Uppara Development Corporation Chairman Girish Uppar will unveil a portrait of Ayyana Saragur Mutt’s late Seer Chinnaswamiji.
SSLC and PUC toppers will be conferred ‘Bhageeratha Vidyashri’ award, which carries a cash prize of Rs.5,000 each, while more than 300 meritorious students from Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar and Kodagu will be presented with ‘Pratibha Puraskara’ (Rs.1,000 each).
Also, Periyapatna Taluk’s Hitnebagilu GP President Meenakshi Basavanna will be conferred ‘Sri Bhageeratha Janasevaratna’ award, K.R. Police Inspector M. Mahadevaswamy (Sri Bhageeratha Nagarika Seva Ratna award), Teacher H. Gopalaswamy of Madhuvanahalli (Sri Bhageeratha Shikshana Ratna award) and former President of the Association late R. Somashekar will be conferred ‘Sri Bhageeratha Samaja Seva Ratna’ award posthumously.
