Mysore/Mysuru: The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) has appointed Dr. Bogadi Prashanth, Joint Replacement Surgeon, Manipal Hospital, Mysuru, to the Adult Reconstruction Knee Programme Committee for a period of three years from 2023 to 2026, according to Dr. Kevin Bozic, Vice-President, AAOS.
The Knee Committee covers all aspects of Knee Replacements and Revision Surgery including the latest Robotic Knee Surgery, Half Knee Replacements and latest knee preservation techniques.
Dr. Prashanth will serve alongside Dr. Sumon Nandi, Dr. Andrew Star, Dr. Saurabh Kakaria and other US Surgeons.
The Academy provides a platform for Surgeons around the globe to encounter the latest in research, technology and trends in the field of Orthopaedics. Dr. Prashanth will be moderating podium and ‘Ask an Expert’ sessions, serve as critical evaluators and take part in teaching and educational knee sessions at the annual meetings.
The AAOS (not-for-profit) is the largest medical association of musculoskeletal professionals and also serves as an advocate for improved patient care and provides patient information globally.
