Using lethal weapon to make reels: Case against youth

Mysuru: Udayagiri Police have registered a case against a youth for making reels by holding a lethal weapon in his hand and uploading the video on social media platform.

The arrested youth is a resident of Udayagiri in city. The youth, with a knife-like weapon in his hand had made the reel and had shared the same on social media.

Following information about it, Udayagiri Police staff Rajesab, who is entrusted the responsibility of supervising social media platforms, verified the reel, collected information about it and lodged a complaint at Udayagiri Police Station following which a case was registered against the youth.

It is illegal to display lethal weapons in public places, transport them and display them on social media platforms as it would create fear among the public. In this backdrop, the Police are keeping a watch on social media platforms.
