Uttarakhand Youth delegation in Mysuru

Mysuru: “Our country is culturally rich and unique in the world,” said Vipul Kumar, IGP, Southern Range & Director, Karnataka Police Academy (KPA), Mysuru.

He was speaking at  an interaction programme, ‘Yuva Ek Bharath Shreshtha Bharath,’ held as part of  Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme, jointly organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Karnataka and Nehru Yuva Kendra, Mysuru, at Youth Hostel in city yesterday. 

A delegation of youngsters from five districts of Uttarakhand, who are visiting Mysuru, participated in the programme.

Addressing the delegation, the IGP said, “India is deeply rooted in diversity and plurality. By the time you complete your 15-day tour here, you should be able to appreciate this diversity and learn to make no distinction on the basis of caste or creed.”
The youngsters, dressed in traditional Uttarakhand attires, enthralled the audience by singing Kannada songs, ‘Chellidaru Malligeya’, ‘Kaanada Kadalige’ and ‘Sojigada Sujimallige.’
