Vacant place turns dumpyard

May 16, 2023

Sir,

Of late a vacant place opposite JSS Ayurveda Hospital in Lalithadripura, which belongs to MUDA, has become a dumping yard. From household garbage to building debris, all are dumped here  and the place looks pathetic with a  lot of  stray pigs and cattle roaming around looking for something to eat.

Children play cricket and other games very close to this place  and may be in a few days time, the  playground too will be littered with plastic and other waste materials. Regular walkers often complain that people come and throw even animal waste which has made this place stink.

The Swachh Bharat initiative will go a waste if citizens don’t act with  responsibility and  help in keeping our city clean.
