Mysuru:  A burglar has made a vain bid to burgle a house at Railway Layout, Vijayanagar, in the wee hours of today.

One Vasudeva had taken the house on the 18th Cross on rent and was residing in the house.

It is said that the burglar, who entered the compound of the house between 2.30 am and 3 am today, used a stick from the window to fetch the clothes in the hanger and searched the pockets for the house keys and cash. It is said that the couple were fast asleep when the burglar took the clothes from the hanger.

The burglar, who did not find anything in the pockets, threw the clothes on the sleeping couple and fled from the spot.

The couple have informed the jurisdictional Vijayanagar Police about the incident.
