Mysore/Mysuru: Kalpa Kshetra, a Centre for Tradition and Heritage, has organised a lecture demonstration titled Vasudeva Vaggeya Vaibhava on the great Musician-Composer Mysore Vasudevacharya by Vid. Manasanayana accompanied by Vid. Keshav Mohankumar on violin and Vid. Sai Shiv on mridanga at 6.30 pm on Saturday (Jan. 21) at Kalpa Kshetra auditorium, 581/1, Vijayanagar 4th Stage, 1st Phase, Mysuru.

Mysore Vasudevacharya was a highly accomplished musician known for his extraordinary scholarship in all the nuances of Karnatak music. He was famous for the way he sang Tana and Pallavi and Madhyamakala kritis. He was well-known for his compositions of various Keerthanas and Kritis. He was an Asthana Vidwan of the Mysore Palace and a Guru to Jayachamaraja Wadiyar and other rulers.

Vid. Manasanayana, a well-known artiste of Mysuru, will highlight the musical greatness of Vasudevacharya through lecture demonstration. The event is open to all. For details, call Mob: 94498-19536.
