Vedike demands suspension of KAS Officer Basavarajendra

August 23, 2017

Mysuru: Karnataka Rajya Hindulida Vargagala Jagruta Vedike has demanded the suspension of KAS Officer H. Basavarajendra, who has accused ACB Police of pressurising him to sign a statement against former CM B.S. Yeddyurappa in the Shivaram Karanth Layout de-notification case.

Addressing a press meet here yesterday, Vedike President K.S. Shivaram alleged that Basavarajendra was a tainted officer. Alleging that Basavarajendra’s letter to the Governor has given rise to suspicions, he said a Govt. official cannot criticize the Government while in service and as such, criticism of the Government is violation of law. Thus, the official must be sacked, he said.
