Vedike stages protest against Disneyland Project at KRS

November 22, 2018

Mysuru:  Maintaining that the State Government’s decision to set up a Rs. 1,200 to Rs. 2,000 crore Disneyland-like project at the sensitive KRS Dam site was not only unscientific but a disaster, about 50 members of Mysuru Kannada Vedike staged a demonstration at CADA (Cauvery) Office premises on Sayyaji Rao Road in city yesterday morning.

Terming the Disneyland project and installation of a 125-ft tall Goddess Cauvery Statue at KRS Dam as a big disaster in waiting, the members claimed that the project was a colossal waste of money and will destroy natural resources.

Urging the Government to drop the proposed project, the protestors warned of severe protests across the State if the coalition Government went ahead with its move.

Vedike President S. Balakrishna, office-bearers Naala Beedi Ravi, Bogadi Siddegowda and others took part.
