Mysore/Mysuru: Karnataka Rajya Nayakara Hitarakshana Vedike has organised a function to felicitate 20 retired employees and meritorious students who have scored high marks in SSLC and PUC as well as notable members of the community at Valmiki Bhavan, Vijayanagar on Oct. 11 at 11 am.
Vedike President Dyavappa Nayak said that Sri Prasannananda Swamiji of Sri Maharshi Valmiki Mutt, Harihara taluk, will grace the occasion. Trustee of the Mutt M. Appanna will inaugurate. MLA Anil Chikkamadu will preside. Former MLA Chikkanna and BJP State General Secretary Siddaraju will offer floral tributes to the portrait of Maharshi Valmiki while former President of Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation S.C. Basavaraju to the portrait of Madakari Nayaka.
Director of Karnataka State Tribal Research Institute T.T. Basavaraju will take part.
