Mysore/Mysuru: Ganabharathi, Mysuru, has organised a veena concert by Vidu. Rakshitha Ramesh at Ganabharathi’s Veene Seshanna Bhavana on Adichunchanagiri Road in Kuvempunagar on Dec. 12 at 6 pm. She will be accompanied by Vid. Adhamya Ramananda on mridanga and Vid. V.S. Ramesh on morching. The concert is sponsored by Kaveri Ramesh and Kumuda Charitable Trust in memory of Vidu. Veena Chokkamma and S.R. Kumuda.

Profile: Vidu. Rakshitha Ramesh started her music journey with late Vid. T.P. Vaidyanathan and learnt veena from her mother Vidu. Chitra Ramesh and continued her advanced learning with guru Vid. Yoganandan from the past 16 years. She had her Post-Graduation of Music from Madras University.

Vidu. Rakshitha has performed in major platforms of the country and is also recognised by many prestigious institutions. She has won first place in Akashvani music competition and directly elevated to ‘A’ grade of AIR. Merited Rakshitha has given Jugalbandi with several senior musicians. Recently she participated in the celebrated musician Vid. Palghat Raghu memorial event and rendered ‘Anudhana Pallavi’ which was highly appreciated by music community.
