Mysore/Mysuru: Ganabharathi,  Mysuru, has organised a Veena recital by Vainika Vidwan R.K. Padmanabha tomorrow (Apr. 5) in memory of S. Balachandar at Veene Seshanna Bhavan, Adichunchanagiri Road. Kuvempunagar, at 6 pm.

He will be accompanied by Vid. P. S. Shridhar on mridanga and Vid. V.S. Ramesh on morching.

Profile: Hailing from a family of famous musicians of Rudrapatna, Vidwan R.K. Padmanabha is the son of renowned Asthana Vidwan of Mysore Royal Court R.S. Keshavamurthy. An ‘A’ grade artiste in All India Radio, he performs regularly in AIR and Doordarshan. He has given Veena concerts all over the country and overseas. He is the torch-bearer of Mysore Subbanna School of Veena playing.
