Mysore/Mysuru: In a major haul, Vidyaranyapuram Police, who arrested a vehicle lifter, have recovered 30 stolen two-wheelers, totally worth Rs. 15 lakh from him.
The Police, who were on a regular beat, took a person who was moving around on a two-wheeler in a suspicious manner near Koppalur Junction in Vidyaranyapuram Police limits, into custody on Feb. 20. During interrogation, the suspect spilled the beans on having stolen two-wheelers from different places. Subsequently, the Police recovered as many as 30 two-wheelers, totally worth Rs.15 lakh, which were allegedly stolen by him.
With his arrest, the Police have cracked 3 cases of two-wheeler theft cases registered in city limits and 6 cases registered in other Police Stations of the district.
The nabbing and recovery operation was carried out by Vidyaranyapuram Police Inspector Mohit Sahdev, PSI M.S. Nityananda and staff Chikkanna, Niranjan, K. Sridharmurthy, Ravi, Sunil Kumar, technical division’s Kumar, Manju, Aradhya and Shyam, under the guidance of DCP S. Jahnavi and KR ACP H.D. Rameshkumar.
