Mysore/Mysuru: Veteran athlete and Traffic Warden Prabhamani passed away yesterday. She was 81.

A resident of Gayathripuram, Prabhamani had been to Hebbal to visit her daughter Kamala Murthy yesterday when she suddenly collapsed and passed away. She leaves behind a son, a daughter, daughter-in-law, grandchildren and host of relatives & friends. Last rites were held at the foot of Chamundi Hill.

Prabhamani had taken part in many National and Intl. Athletic Meets and had won many medals in shot put and discus throw events. She was also awarded Best Traffic Warden Award for serving more than 30 years as a Traffic Warden.
