Veteran Harmonium and Casio player feted

City’s veteran and renowned Harmonium and Casio player H.P. Nagendra Prasad was felicitated on his 53rd  birthday at the Ganesha Temple premises near Saint Mary’s School in city recently.

Dr. N.N. Prahallada, Associate Professor in Education and Editor of RIEM Newsletter (retd.), felicitated Nagendra Prasad. Son of famous Harmonium and Tabla player of Mysuru late Padmanabha Pandit, Nagendra Prasad has rendered Harmonium and Casio music for the past 38 years at various places across the State.

He was recently honoured with a Silver Crown at the Town Hall in city for his rich contribution in the field of theatre. He has also directed several dramas like Sampurna Ramayana, Kurukeshtra, Dakshayajna etc.
