Vidu. Krishnaveni Ranga Rao

Veteran Classical Dancer and Musician Vidu. Krishnaveni Ranga Rao (74), passed away on May 5 at her son’s residence in Kuvempunagar here following heart attack.

She leaves behind two sons, two daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of students, relatives and friends. Her husband had predeceased her six months ago.

She was a direct disciple of Padma Bhushan Dr. K. Venkatalakshamma and was a punctual, perfect dancer and musician.

Last rites were held on May 6 at the foot of Chamundi Hill, according to Mysuru Vidwan K. Guruprasad.
