Mysuru: Bharatiya Jain Sanghatan (BJS), a Non-Government Organisation founded by Shantilal Muttha, is working for upliftment of the community and is also extending its services for the nation through extensive work and research in the field of education and training.
As part of its initiative to help students study at affordable cost as well to save the environment by recycling books, BJS, Mysuru Chapter, is conducting a programme titled VIDYADAAN by YOU for the past three years. They collect used text books from outgoing students and distribute it among students who require the same. The books are given free of cost to the students and the same are to be returned to the organisation on completion of the academic year. The books are thus re-distributed and used by many students.
Now BJS, which has received several books for Engineering and Medical courses, is organising a Text Book Distribution Camp at the Golden Jubilee Block of National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Manandavadi Road, Mysuru. Medical or Engineering students from any institution can collect their required books free of cost on returnable basis on Aug.25 from 9 am to 3 pm. Students have to submit a copy of any ID card and a copy of previous year marks card to avail the facility. For details, contact Nisha Jain (Project Director & Coordinator – Youth Wing, BJS Mysore) on Mob: 9535519599.
