Mysuru: Shruthimanjari Foundation has organised Shravana Yuva Sangeetotsava-2019 concerts at  Rotary West Auditorium in city from Aug. 24 to 26. Following artistes will perform:

Aug.24 at 7pm: Vid. Abhishek N. Sreedhar will present Karnatak vocal concert. He will be accompanied by Vid. Pranav Manjunath – violin, Vid. Pavan Madhav Masoor – mridanga and Vid. Srinidhi Koundinya- ghata.

Blessed with a soulful voice and strong aesthetics in his singing technique, Abhishek  is a disciple of Sangeetha Kalaratna Vidwan S. Shankar. A ‘B’ Graded artiste of AIR, Bangalore, he started training in Karnatak Classical music at the tender age of 6 under the able guidance of Vidu. Veena. He got further training in music under Vidushi Shubha Ramaswamy and it was then he completed his senior grade exams with flying colours and began concert performances. 

He has gained immense appreciation by many Rasikas and musicians alike, with his excellence in singing Abhangs of Saint Tukaram, Bhajans, Devaranamas. With concert experience of more than 10 years, Abhishek has performed in several prestigious sabhas and is a recipient of multiple scholarships.

He is the Founder-Director of Shankara Academy of Fine Arts, which was inaugurated by his Guru, Vidwan S. Shankar in 2017. Having been an Electronics and Communication Engineer, after quitting his job at an infotech company, Abhishek has now opted to be a full time musician. 

 Aug.25 at 6pm: Vidushi Shruthi S. Bhat will give a vocal recital along with Vid. C.V. Shruthi – violin, Vid.Sachin Prakash – mridanga and Vid.Prajwal – kanjira. 

Shruthi has learnt Karnatak music from Sangeetha Kala Acharya Chengalpet Ranganathan, Vid. Srimushnam Rajarao and Padma. Now she is learning from Guru Dr.Sowmya. She has done Advanced  music course from Music Academy and M.Music from Madras University.

A B grade artiste of AIR  Chennai, Shruthi is the recipient of Bharatha Rathna M.S. Subbulakshmi National Award for outstanding young vocalist in Karnatak Music 2015; ‘Musiri Subramania Iyer Award’ for merit worthy performance in 2014 among others.  She has given performances in prestigious sabhas and TV channels in Chennai. 

Aug.26 at 6 pm: Vid. Deepak Hebbar will perform Flute along with Vid. Karthikeya Ramachandra – violin, Vid. Vinod Shyam Anoor – mridanga and Vid.Chidanand – morching.

Initiated into the hallowed realms of Karnatak classical music at the tender age of seven, Deepak initially took up the South Indian Classical vocal training under Vidushi Madhavi Bhat.

His Guru Vidwan Raghavendra Rao is a respected flautist and his ear for music and skill with the flute was achieved by Deepak who surprised many when he picked it up and played it with ease. A Biotechnology graduate, Deepak started performing duets with his teacher and even held solo concerts. After that he started learning the nuances of Karnatak music from Vid. Anoor Ananthakrishna Sharma. 

Deepak developed a keen interest in other forms of music, experimenting with fusion and world music and discovering Jazz and broadening his  knowledge of classical music to include Hindustani classical as well as Karnatak. 

His powerful lungs, clarity of individual notes and high-paced fingering techniques are his forte and have been widely regarded with appreciation by music-lovers and critics alike. His playing field includes Bansuri(North Indian flute), western flute and  vocal percussions.
