Mysore/Mysuru: Eight personalities will be conferred Acharya Sri Vidyaranya Rajyotsava Award – 2020, instituted by city’s Himalaya Foundation, Ramakrishnanagar, at a programme to be held at Rotary Auditorium, JLB Road here at 11 am tomorrow (Nov. 28).
The awardees are: Dr. B.R. Pai (Industry and social service), Vaidehi Iyengar (Religion), Srihari Dwarakanath Guruji (Yoga), Dr. K. Ramanand (Literature and research), Raghunandan (Commerce), M.N. Doreswamy (Industry), Dr. T.N. Shashikumar (Yoga) and Girish (Social service).
Founder of Arkadhama Yogi Srinivasa Arka will inaugurate. Social activist Dr. K. Raghuram Vajpayee will preside. Veteran litterateur Dr. C.P. Krishnakumar (CPK) will pay floral tribute to the portrait of Sri Vidyaranya. Senior writer Prof. K. Bhyravamurthy, former President of District Kannada Sahitya Parishat Maddikere Gopal, Founder of Dasti Shikshana Samsthe Dr. D. Thimmaiah and thinker Gururaja Poshettihalli will be the chief guests.
