‘Vidyut Adalat’ to be held on third Saturday of every month

Bengaluru: In order to address power issues faster, the Energy Department has proposed to hold ‘Vidyut Adalat’ on the third Saturday of every month.

Energy Minister Sunil Kumar, who has issued an order to this effect, said that the Department has planned to address all power issues, especially in rural areas, through this monthly ‘Vidyut Adalat’.

Pointing out that Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs) and other officials of Power Corporations have been asked to visit even the last village in their respective taluks, he said that officials should take initiatives for resolving power problems and other issues at the spot or at the earliest.

Continuing, Sunil Kumar said that the officials must upload details of the Adalat in the prescribed format and send the same to the Managing Director and the Managing Directors in turn, should send it to the Government through email: [email protected]
