Mysore/Mysuru: In a noble gesture, Mysuru-born singer Vijay Prakash of Jai Ho-fame enthralled the paediatric cancer patients on Jan.1 at a programme held at the auditorium of Shri Shankara Cancer Hospital, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru.
Starting with Mahaganapathim Manasa Smarami, continuing with Bombe Helutaite… (from the movie Raajakumara), Vijay Prakash enthralled the kid-patients for more than an hour, making them dance also for a while to his tunes.
Ending his special show with Jai Ho…, Vijay Prakash said if God willing he would like to sing in the same auditorium on every New Year Day to lift the spirit of paediatric cancer patients.
On the occasion, the noted singer was felicitated by Shankara Hospital Chairman and renowned Onco Surgeon Dr. B.S. Srinath.
Dr. Veena Bharathi, an alumnus of Mysore Medical College, was present on the occasion.
