Mysuru: Members of Vijayanagar 1st Stage Welfare Association, in association with Lions Club of North, Aishwarya Foundation, Punyakoti Trust, OYHS Association and Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) had organised Shramdan, a cleaning programme in the locality from 7 am to 10 am. 

Residents of Vijayanagar 1st Stage also enthusiastically participated in the cleaning event in large numbers.

“It is common that citizens only speak about problems. We are happy to be a part of this pro-society work,” said the residents and thanked the MCC staff for their cooperation.

More than 150 people including former Corporator of MCC Ward No. 22 M.U. Subbaiah, former President of Vijayanagar Kshemabhivruddhi Sangha C. Narayanagowda, present President U.B. Udayakumar, Hon. President M.K. Nanjaiah, Directors Saviruchi Raghu, Murthy, Paper Ravi, Gopalaswamy, Alamelu, Gourikittur, Shobha Suryanarayana participated in the cleaning programme and collected heaps of garbage which were later disposed scientifically.
