Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of Economics and Cooperation, University of Mysore (UoM), had organised a felicitation programme at Rani Bahadur Auditorium in Manasagangothri here on Friday.  

Vice-Chancellor of Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women’s University, Vijayapura, Prof. B.K. Tulasimala was feted with traditional shawl, a memento and fruit bowl by UoM Registrar Prof. R. Shivappa on this occasion.

Later, addressing the gathering, Prof. Shivappa said, “Considerable number of persons who have worked in UoM have later become Vice-Chancellors.  I am proud to say Prof. Tulasimala is one of them. Earlier, she had worked as Economics Professor in UoM and now she is the Vice-Chancellor of Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women’s University, Vijayapura.”

Shivamogga Kuvempu Varsity Vice-Chancellor Prof. B.P. Veerabhadrappa, retired professor G.T. Marulasiddappa, Economics and Cooperation Department Head D.V. Gopalappa and others were present.
