January 19, 2018

City-based cricketer D. Vijeth, representing RBNCC and a qualified umpire, was among the 24 qualified umpires from Karnataka who wrote the BCCI level I qualifying exams, and was one among the twelve umpires from the State to pass the exam, results of which were announced recently.

He is the only Mysuru-based umpire to pass the first stage of the BCCI qualifying exams in this attempt. The final stage of the exams will be held in April 2018 at Nagpur and Vijeth has to pass that exam to be eligible to officiate in first class matches conducted by BCCI.
