Villagers demand closure of Bar

July 11, 2017

Mysuru: The villagers of Chikkahalli and Chornahalli on T.N. Pur Road staged a snap stir this morning demanding the closure of Taniska Bar located between the two villages.  Around 100 villagers from both the villages staged a rasta-roko alleging that the Bar, located in the residential area, was causing problems.

On receiving information, both the Mysuru South Police and Alanahalli Police rushed to the spot. The protest was still on when we went to the press.
