The seventh District Vishwakarma Jayanthotsava will be held by the District administration at Kalamandira in city tomorrow (Sept.17). Announcing this at a press meet here on Thursday, Vishwakarma Jayanthotsava Samithi President M. Mogannachar said that the event will take place at Kalamandira at 12.30 pm. Prior to the event, a grand Silver Chariot (Belli Ratha) procession, accompanied by a host of folk and cultural troupes, will be taken out from Sri Kalikamba Kamateshwara temple off Irwin road to Kalamandira at 9.30 am. District Minister S.T. Somashekar will inaugurate the stage programme at Kalamandira at 12.30 pm, Mogannachar said adding that several elected representatives will be part of the event.

 Samithi office-bearers Somasundar Murthy, Jayashankar, Pramila Achar and Siddappachar were present at the press meet.
