Nanjangud: Vishweshwara Jois (96), senior Veda Brahmashree and a resident of Chinivara Katte Street, passed away yesterday in the town.

He leaves behind his wife, six sons, four daughters and a host of students, relatives and friends.

Last rites were performed at Hadinaaru Kalu Mantapa on the banks of Kapila River yesterday evening, according to family sources.
