Mysuru: ‘Visishta Kavigoshti’ marked the third day of the 4-day Dasara Kavigoshti organised by Dasara Kavigoshti Sub-Committee at Jaganmohan Palace here today.

The participants who were about 23 in number were from oppressed, exploited, weaker sections, inmates of shelter homes and orphanages, sexually exploited, transgenders, and other sections from the lower strata of society. Speaking after inaugurating the meet, UPSC Civil Services Rank holder, Kempahonnaiah, a visually challenged person, said that the event provided a platform for the oppressed and exploited classes to exhibit their inherent talent.

Stressing on the need for political and economic inclusiveness of the oppressed classes, he said that the administrators should look at tapping the talent and skills among the weaker sections of the society.

Actress and MLC Dr. Jayamala presided. Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep, Writers K. Neela and others were present.
