In commemoration of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, ‘Samartha Bharata Parva’ is celebrated across all the branches of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari. The Mysuru Branch of the Kendra also has organised a five-day cultural competition ‘Viveka Vaibhava’ at Vivekananda Kendra, #2830, 1st  Main, Jayanagar, from Dec. 25 to 29 at 5.30 pm daily. The following competitions depicting Indian culture to the young generation will be held on the respective days: Patriotic songs on Dec.25, Songs related to Swami Vivekananda on Dec.26, Devotional songs on Dec. 27, Folk songs on Dec. 28 and Drawing, quiz, rangoli, quotation writing of  Swami Vivekananda on Dec. 29.
