Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust, Mysuru, will be presenting a grand vocal concert by Vid. Abhiram G. Bode at 6 pm on Aug. 24 at Veene Seshanna Bhavan in Ganabharathi.
He will be accompanied by eminent senior artistes, Vid. Mysore R. Dayakar on violin, Vid. Tumkur B. Ravishankar on mridanga and Vid. Tumkur B. Shashishankar on ghata.
PROFILE
Vid. Abhiram Bode is a disciple of Vidu. Ganakalabhushana R.A. Ramamani for the past 18 years. A gold medallist from Madras University in his Master’s examination in music, he has carved a niche among the most promising young music talents.
Some of the awards bagged by him include Dr. Shiva Saroja Sangeetha Natya Scholarship, Chennai, Ananya Nadajyothi Yuva Pratibha Puraskara, Bengaluru, first prize in National-level Pallavi Competition by R.K. Srikantan Trust, first prizes in RTP Competitions of Bengaluru Gayana Samaja and Shruthimanjari, Mysuru, Nadakishora Award by Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha, winner of Sangeeth Yatra Season 2, Karnatak Reality Show conducted by World Music Conservatory and Sri Sankara TV.
Vid. Abhiram Bode has performed extensively on most of the prestigious platforms, including Arkay Convention Centre, Chennai, Parthasarathy Swamy Sabha, Naada Inbam, University of Madras, Music Academy, Madras, Bhratiya Vidya Bhavan, Chennai, Bengaluru Gayana Samaja etc.
