Raaga Vaibhava, a premier music organisation in Mysuru, is organising a grand vocal concert on Thursday, 30th August, at Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on JLB Road at 6 pm.
The artistes are the well-known singers of Karnatak music namely Vid. Sri Krishna Mohan and Vid. Ramkumar Mohan, more popularly known as Trichur Brothers. They are the sons of Vid. Trichur R. Mohan who accompanies them on mridanga for all their concerts.
Violin support is by Vid. L. Rama Krishna and Kanjira by Dr. Nerkunnam Sankar, all well- known in their field.
Vid. Sri Krishna Mohan and Vid. Ramkumar Mohan are both Chartered Accountants in Chennai and have established their names in the music fields, both in the country and abroad.
While Madurai Balamani was their first guru they were chiselled into what they are today by the late Nekyantikara Mohan Chandran for well over a decade. Right now, with Guru P.S. Narayanaswamy the brothers are polishing their concert presentation.
No doubt, the handsome brothers are in the forefront of Karnatak music and together with their father, they are the ardent disciples of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam.
