Mysuru: Vidu. Manasi Prasad, a top-ranking Karnatak vocalist and a multifaceted artiste from Bengaluru, will be presenting a vocal concert at the residence of Mysore Vasudevacharya in city tomorrow (Sept. 27) from 10.30 am to 12 noon.

She will be accompanied by Vid. Arjun Dinakar on violin and Vid. Shubhang Samaga on mridanga.

Vidu. Manasi’s gurus include Vid. R.K. Padmanabha in Bengaluru and Vid. Sriram Parasuram in Chennai. As a performing artiste for over 25 years, Manasi has travelled extensively across India and the world. She is an empanelled artiste of the ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations).  She is adept at rendering Avadhana Pallavi, which requires unique multi-tasking abilities. She is also a trained Bharatanatyam dancer.

An Engineering graduate and an MBA from IIM, Bengaluru, she leads India’s first interactive music museum, the Indian Music Experience Museum, Bengaluru.

A graded artiste of Akashvani, Vid. Arjun has been a disciple of Vid. H.K. Narasimhamurthy and got advanced training under Dr. R.N. Tharanathan.  Promising young Shubhang, a disciple of Prof. G.S. Ramanujan, is presently trained by Vid. Delhi Sairam.
