December 16, 2020

Mysore/Mysuru: Following reports in a section of the media that Adichunchanagiri Mysuru Shaka Mutt Seer Sri Someshwaranatha Swamiji while speaking at Mysuru-Chamarajanagar District Vokkaligara Sangha meeting recently, had threatened to seek a separate State if Vokkaliga community was ignored, the Mysuru District Vokkaligara Sangha has clarified that the reports are completely wrong.

In a press release issued on Saturday, Association General Secretary B.P. Boregowda said that Sri Someshwaranatha Swamiji had only demanded Vokkaliga Development Authority and 15 percent reservation for the community. But the report that the Seer threatened to seek a separate State if the two demands were not met, is wrong and far from truth.

The release said that the Seer was quoted out of context and the reports that he had threatened to seek a separate State was totally incorrect, the release said.
