Voters awareness thru stickers, expo

April 10, 2019

Mysuru: Under the aegis of Mysuru Taluk SVEEP Committee, the members visited houses in Rammanahalli yesterday and pasted voter awareness stickers. Handbills indicating the concept of moral voting were also distributed to people, according to Taluk Panchayat Assistant Director Krishna.

School Children, Anganwadi and ASHA activists took out a voter awareness rally carrying placards appealing people to vote compulsorily. An oath in that context was also administered to the people of the village which has a sizeable number of voters in the taluk. The people were also requested not to fall prey to offers and freebies of political parties but exercise franchise with confidence and no fear.

Child Development Officer Manjula Patil, Gram Panchayat Development Officer Ishukumar and others were present.

The Department of Information and Public Relations has organised a Voter Awareness Exhibition from Apr.10 to Apr.12 at Sub-Urban Bus Stand in Mysuru.
